Garlic should be measured with your heart, instead of listening to the recipe! If the recipe only calls for 1-3 cloves of garlic you know that won't be enough! Where is the flavor in that dish? You won't find it because it is missing! So instead add that extra clove (or 5 because who's counting)! As long as the dish tastes good it is the right amount of garlic!
