Before we left Undercity I decided that we would come back to Tirisfal Glades. The undead had helped us so much in the Ghostlands, it was only right that we repaid them.
Orgrimmar was huge and full of people. Tons of different races gathered. Junelight and I stood in the presence of heroes. Their armor was beautiful and ornate. Great winged creatures filled the air, and massive beasts littered the ground all tamed and listening patiently to their riders. It was amazing to see. I felt very small and insignificant in their wake.
Even more nervous now than before, I had to give the letter to Saurfang before I lost my nerve altogether.
We waited anxiously as Saurfang read the letter. He looked up every so often, eyeing us, I think to determine whether the letter was correct or not. After he finished he paused and acknowledged the Blood Elves as worthy members of the Horde.
He gave me a new letter to give to Lor'themar Theron. Getting the Kodo would have to wait for now, but we would be back shortly.
When we returned to Lor'themar Theron he sighed with relief after reading the letter. The Blood Elves are officially part of the Horde.
And back to Orgrimmar we went. We found a zeppelin to Thunder Bluff, the massive airships were marvels. As we traveled over the barrens we could see everything. Creatures went about their business and the landscape was dotted with villages. The breeze was so cool and crisp up here. It felt like all the best parts of a warm summer day.
Thunderbluff itself was so high up. I couldn't believe how tall the plateaus were. Junelight and I were careful not to get too close to the edge, lest we might fall off!
The Kodo seller was not actually in Thunder Bluff, instead, we went to a small village named Bloodhoof Village.
Harb Clawhoof would not sell me a Kodo. He said, "You are not known to my people." And proceeded to tell me about the love and care Tauren put into the Kodo.
I tried desperately to change his mind, I even told him about slaying Dar'Khan but it was to no avail. Nothing would change his mind.
This was the mount I wanted but I would not be able to get one today. They were warm-hearted happy creatures. Gentle but strong and hardworking beasts.
There had to be something I could do.
Disappointed but not deterred, I found an inn in Thunder Bluff to stay the night.
I didn't sleep well, even with Junelight trying her hardest to be cute and calming. I kept going over them wanting us to be exalted with the leaders of Thunder Bluff but who knows how long that would take.
In the morning I purchased a Thunder Bluff Tabard, in hopes that even when I was not in Mulgore or the surrounding areas, they would hear of my deeds. One day I would come back to Muglore. One day I will have a Kodo... for now, I guess I will have to get a Hawkstrider...
"I guess we will... have to get Hawkstrider after all," I said to Junelight.
She roared softly.
"Yeah, I am not excited either," I said.
Almost every animal I had ever met liked me, but there was something about those birds. We just did not get along. I wanted to be friends with them but they only seemed to understand commands and harsh tones and that wasn't me.
After a long disappointing trek back we found ourselves outside of Silvermoon purchasing a Hawkstrider. The mount vendor was happy to offer me a selection of different colored hawkstriders. I didn't really care what color I wanted one that I could get along with but no luck.
The bird. It bites and pecks relentlessly. Maybe I should have chosen the pink one instead of this green one. We would have to make the best of it.
Maybe we would have better luck finding another pet to add to our family. I had heard of Shadowmaw panthers in Stranglethorn. I hope that they are friendlier than the Hawkstriders...
